Historical Aerials has great aerials of Sullivan Square going all the way back to 1938, and including the 1970s as well.

Go to http://www.historicaerials.com/

Type in Charlestown MA and then scroll over to the Sullivan Square area, and select the year under "Aerials" on the left.
