1134 will be next to come home. I will assume that it is almost done by now considering it was sent out in early August.

I didn't get a chance to catch 1134 as it came trough my area since it was during the night time. How many more units are left to be worked on by NS in Juniata? Hopefully I can catch the next one.

1125, 1130, 1135 & 1139 are all the units that have not received the new, less pleasurable-sounding HEP Generators.

Less pleasurable sounding???

The new HEPs sound like they are breaking down but the original ones sound way better.

Easy to say when you guys don't have to work around them all the time... The new ones may not sound as good to you guys but they sure are reliable.

Agreed AEM7AC, yes newer diesel engines in general may not sound as "pleasurable" to the ear to rail fans as older ones, simply because they are used to hearing the older stuff. For example, many foamers would much rather hear a GP40 or SD40-2 than a GEVO or Dash 9/AC4400. However alot of crews prefer the comfort, quietness, power, and reliability of newer GEs vs older EMDs, so it is another one of those railroader/foamer perspective conflicts.

Although there have been a few cases such as 1123's smoker HEP and 1132's fire in North Station, the CAT C-18 HEP generators have been very reliable, and don't sound too different from the older ones, IMHO. If anything, the CAT 3412s in the rebuilds have had more of their shares of problems!..

Speaking of GP40MCs 1134 is back at BET. It is on Diesel 4 facing South in the Diesel House at BET.

1122 made it to Selkirk, on its way home! And 1139 was picked up by CSX B721 yesterday.

Actually (and for the record), the 1139 was picked up by CSX Y101-16, not B721.

This was the first CSX move on the Grand Jct since the branch was restored to service.
