I have a question about the cut-over to the new Haymarket-North Station Green line tunnel.
When traveling from Haymarket towards North Station, you can see the beginning of the new tunnel. Going in this direction, you can see that they have installed a new switch to go from two lines at Haymarket to a single line in the tunnel to North Station.
Does anyone know why? Leaving Haymarket the Lechmere bound line is single track. Based on the angles, it does not look like it would work as a new spot for a cross-over, but I could be wrong.
