There are a couple of HCl tank cars sitting on the lead right next to the Sullivan Square station platforms again this morning, despite the flak and bad press Guilford received from last week's incident. I bet the neighbors will howl, but GTI is well known for doing as it pleases, regardless.
To be fair, spotting cars of all kinds here is a longstanding practice, done perfectly safely and without incident for many years. I'd think, however, that GTI would consider telling the crew to spot their cars someplace nearby but more unobtrusive, at least until the memory of this recent incident fades a bit. Just two or three hundred feet further up the Yard 21 lead would do, because they'd be further away from and less visible to abutters and Orange Line riders up there, but equally accessible to BO-1's crew.
