Status of LRV work equipment

From what I have heard the 3 Boeing LRV work cars are out of service and currently sitting at Riverside.

Are there any plans to try to repair them, or will they get scrapped?
If they are going to be scrapped, will there be replacements, perhaps from the type 7 fleet once the type 9's come on board?

Also if they were to be scrapped, perhaps this would be a great opportunity for Seashore Trolley Museum to obtain parts as I have heard they are looking into getting their 3424 running.

Don't the work LRV's still have their original plug doors and underfloor-mounted HVAC systems? If so, I'd hope that Seashore gets their hands on one for that fact alone.

3424 has roof mounted HVAC and the folding doors.

Don't know if having another LRV with the original configuration is worth the trouble.

I dunno, one in as-built 70s-tastic condition might be a cool counterpart to the SOAC.

None of the work LRVs are in as-built condition. The interiors of 3417 and 3453 were gutted to make room for rerailing and MOW equipment, and 3448 is an Amerail rebuild.

But someone took a picture of 3448. It was noted it was pulled from storage. Debate is if its pulled to be scrapped, or to be used fixed.
