According to this article from the Worcester T&G http://www.telegram.com/article/20160802/NEWS/160809835, it looks like they're planning on doing 2 Southside lines at a time starting in 2017 and then moving on to the Northside lines once all the Southside ones are finished.

To presumably expedite the process the article states that there will be service outages on weekends. Given the amount of work to do, especially on some of the lines(all of Northside, Worcester etc) I think the completion dates and weekend only service outages are a bit optimistic.

Never mind PTC.
On the Northside are three drawbridge projects looming large:
Beverly, Manchester, Gloucester.

There will be no break for commuters on the northside. And just image when
GLX starts up again!

Isn't the order supposed to be Gloucester, Charles River, Manchester, and then finally Beverly? Beverly's replacement to be staved off by a current or soon-to-happen maintenance project?

"T" is paying only 20% of cost...but fed grants only cover 13%...2/3 of cost are federal loans. Assume the "T" ends up paying the mortgage?

So many levels - T, consultants, Ansaldo, Keolis, Jacobs Engineering. Expect finger pointing. Does Keolis get paid for weekend service that's suspended? Do conductors/engineers get paid if weekend trains suspended? Assume "T" brings in the replacement buses rather than Keolis chartering them.

And they might have to dig up & replace existing fiber optic lines at unknown cost. Good planning there.

Documents don't specify which lines go in what order.

Will some group sue because suspending weekend service disproportionately affects minorities?
