Interesting Consist Discussion for the North Side
This thread is here to discuss unusual train sightings on the North Side. Detour moves on Pan Am Southern via Worcester can be discussed here. The Grand Junction and Readville Switcher will be discussed under the South Side Thread.

Ill break the ice 2 double engine sets running around both a geep and screamer combo I believe the 1124/1004 is one and the 11 something and 1015 is the second. Probably not unusual anymore around here.

Saw it pass by enroute to Newburyport this evening. Looks rather overpowered for a 5 car consist needless to say.AEM7AC920 wrote:Ill break the ice 2 double engine sets running around both a geep and screamer combo I believe the 1124/1004 is one and the 11 something and 1015 is the second. Was the train all singles or bilevels?

Two locos on a bilevel set make more sense, then using two locos on a single level set.

Re: Interesting Consist Discussion for the North Side
We don't run doubles north check the thread title again... The 1004 as far as I know had issues the other night don't know what exactly so that's why it's paired. Can't speak for the 1124?/1015 set.

Re: Interesting Consist Discussion for the North Side
Last week I had the 1124/1015 together. The 1124 does not have a working HEP unit. And the 1015 was tagged HEP only, do not put online.

Re: Interesting Consist Discussion for the North Side
The 1015 is still tagged but was told it was ok to put online. The turbo is on the way out along with 3 other screamers I've been told one being the other double engine set.

Re: Interesting Consist Discussion for the North Side
Riding the 408 this morning I saw a 2-loco set deadheading out to Fitchburg. Passed us in the Lincoln/Weston stretch near Silver Hill. I am pretty sure that the trailing loco was 1117. No idea about the leading loco.
Trains don't run on schedules, son. They run on tracks.
