When Wiedefeld came onboard in 2015, the metorail system was in very bad shape.
Since then, Paul Wiedfeld has made many repairs and upgrades to the system.
To insure Paul does not leave DC, the Metro board wants to extend his contract and give him a pay raise.
Earlier in the summer, the union wanted Paul Wiedfeld fired, so they would not be happy if he gets an extended contract.
