I know from the CTA official site and Chicago-l.org what is supposed to happen from the point of view of the passenger, and I see at platform level (from aboard the train) that it is coming along quite nicely.
There are some details not clear to me (bearing in mind that I have not looked at the work from the ground).
Will this project finally eliminate all trace of the original yard and shop, both connections and structures at the track level and on the ground?
Also, are any of the old structures on the ground (not the station itself) being re-used (not demolished) either by the CTA or new private development?
