"The selected Contractor will be responsible for operational activities of Metrolink service, as well as the maintenance and limited rehabilitation of the Authority's fleet and infrastructure. The Contractor must provide an experienced and motivated management team with proven leadership skills to lead a workforce that is well-trained, professional, motivated, and required to be retained under applicable Federal mandates for labor protection and collective bargaining. The Authority is looking for a partner in its role as a leading transportation service provider, providing outstanding customer experiences and accountability. The Contractor will help achieve the Authority's short and long-term goals, including 1) increase ridership, customer satisfaction and improve on-time performance; 2) always prioritize safety and security through a high safety culture; 3) fully integrate the Authority with all of its southern California transportation partners to increase capacity, interconnectivity and become a superior investment choice; and 4) modernize the Authority's business practices to achieve environmental and fiscal sustainability and always act as a prudent and responsible manager of the Authority’s assets. Note that the term of the Contract to be awarded includes the time period in which Los Angeles will be hosting the 2028 Olympics and Paralympic games."
