EMDs all right.

The other day I saw three trucks lugging GE radiator assemblies north toward Erie...I couldn't help but wonder, why things have gotten so bass-ackwards. ONE TRAIN could easily haul a hundred of those assemblies; right to the manufacturer's door. With no great expense in handling.

But you know, railroad suppliers? They know what the business is lke; and they want to GET it there. They use trucks.

EMD used rail between the 103rd st plant and LaGrange before the "Just in Time" manufacturing process became the craze.
