On January 7, 2008 a series of tornados swept through Boone and McHenry County, Illinois. A westbound UP train was heading through Lawrence west of Harvard when an EF2 tornado derailed several cars including a full tank car, prompting evacuation of the entire area. The whole incident was caught on the trailing locomotive's cab camera that just happened to be running at the time, and the whole derailment was caught on camera... Both incredible and scary at the same time!

I love the comments on videos like this, where people say "I didn't see the tornado, so this video is fake". Does anyone know how many units were on the train, or the total number of cars it was pulling?
