I'm guessing here, since the article and video never say which railroad this on, the only clue is that Amtrak uses the line.

FRANKLIN CO, MO (FOX2now.com) - A train hauling coal has derailed near Washington, Missouri. The accident happened around 6:00am Tuesday morning. The cars jumped the tracks along the riverbank of the Missouri River at Route 185 and Highway 100. Several cars have dumped loads of coal. Bommarito Automotive SkyFOX Pilot John Brubaker counted 23 cars derailed from the tracks. The Franklin County Sheriff's Department says there are no injuries and no traffic problems because the derailment is along the riverfront.

The cars were headed to Ohio where the coal was to be used by the American Electric Power Company.

Amtrak passenger trains uses these tracks daily to travel back and forth across Missouri. Amtrak officials tell FOX 2 News they are shuttling passengers by charter buses around the accident. If you plan to travel by Amtrak train today, plan on delays.

Several pieces of heavy equipment is being brought on flatbed trailers to help with the cleanup process.

There is no word yet on what caused the train to derail.

We will bring you new updates as soon as they are available.

From the videos and pics, it looks like a nasty mess. Even worse, the line is next to imposable to get to by road.
