I'm trying to find out if NS services the SIA (Subaru) plant in Lafayette. They appear to be an active rail customer, at least shipping out finished autos.

Does anyone have any info on this? I'm working on a research project on Subaru. Thanks.

Yes Ns did service the SIA plant , but the plant has been sold to Toyota and is currently closed to remodel

Sold? I was under the impression that the Subaru plant is still in operation. They are leasing part of the plant to Toyota to manufacture Camrys which will expand plant operations. SIA was at the Purdue college of Technology career fair yesterday recruiting for young blood.

It was not sold, but Toyota did lease space to produce some of their cars there. Meanwhile SIA is going strong and the added Toyota traffic helps.

I never really worked Lafayette, but I know NS has a stake in that.
