At approx. 5:45 this morning I caught a early morning train on the Port Road going through Perryville on its way to the NEC. It had a NS loco leading, a cool looking Erie painted loco (silver, blue, yellow) was second, and then another NS loco. It had very few cars. Usually these trains have a 100+ cars at times. Was this a special freight? Especially at this hour as it was almost commuter time on the NEC. Also was this one of the few engines that were painted in retro railroads? I caught the Georgia Pacific? awhile back. Great to see these rare trains. Thanks.

The Erie unit is mostly green and some yellow. Maybe you saw the Wasbash heritage unit.

Bobby didnt say where he is located ("port road" and "perryville" tells us nothing ;) NS runs in 22 states), but NEC is a clue..
taking a look at: https://heritageunits.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The Erie heritage unit is in NJ today, so thats probably the unit he saw..if it was dark, he probably just didnt see the colors quite right.

Perryville is on the NEC between Wilmington and Baltimore, and the Port Road is the former Columbia & Port Deposit line of the PRR, along the Susquehanna River, now the NS route from the corridor to Enola. The train he saw could have been en route to Baltimore and south, or to Newark, DE and the Delmarva Peninsula.
