Applying With NS

Hey guys Im about to apply to NS as a Conductor.

Does anyone here have any tips or good info that would help me?

It would definitely help. Pretty excited to start a career on the railroad.

I hope my two speeding tickets don't effect it.

It won't but besure to list them where it asks. Talk up safety and being able and not minding working in all kinds of weather and at any hour. DO NOT be late, my session started at 8am a few stragglers came in like 802-805 they were shown the door and sent on their way. Bring a 10 year history of your life to include jobs, schools people that knew you there and a phone# for them, addresses you had.

And whatever you do, do NOT gush or run on about how you "luvvvvvv them trains". Do that, and you are D O N E with a capital "D"! While its fine to "like" trains, this is a clue to the HR people that you are one of those rabid rail buffs that will NOT make a good employee. Just follow the suggestions given here, as well as those of the HR people. You'll do fine. Gud luck.
