It's a bit shorter rail haul from SJ to Montreal vs from Halifax, so I could see them competing on domestic Canadian traffic but don't see them being a player in terms of US business other than maybe a shuttle service down into Pan Am territory.

Hutchison is planning to build a container terminal in Quebec City. This does not bode well for Halifax, Saint John or Montreal, for that matter.

Time to reactivate the Quebec Central? :P
