This week crews on Florida East Coast trains have started calling out signal indications on the radio. This applies to all
wayside signals.

I believe they are cab signal equipped, maybe they are trying to keep the crew alert in the wee hours ?

Just got word that calling of signals on the Florida East Coast has ended by bulletin order. Trains approaching yards in
multiple track territory will instead announce themselves on the radio on the road channel. This includes such places as
North Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, New Symrna Beach and maybe one or two others. They have
both automatic train control and cab signals and the callilng of all signals is not necessary.
