Two Geeps have a pink stripe but other than that they are going to remain blue.

On the Champion paint scheme

What is the significance of the 4 horizontal black stripes on the nose?

From PR Newswire:
PR Newswire wrote:JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Nov. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, November 21st, Florida East Coast Railway (FECR) completed the inaugural run of its first two new GE ES44C4 locomotives. Locomotives FEC 803 and FEC 804 provided state-of-the-art Tier 3 locomotive power to FECR Train 101; the company's most expedited through-freight train, transporting automotive, carload and intermodal freight from Jacksonville to Miami.
. . .
The new locomotives also got positive reviews from the FECR operations team."The new locomotives are quiet and comfortable in the cab. Overall I was impressed by the way they handled," said Donald Wolff, FECR Locomotive Engineer.
. . .
"What a thrill it was to be able to be part of the crew for this historic event with the new GE additions to the FECR fleet," said Eric Usina, FECR Road Foreman of Engines. "These new GE locomotives exceeded my expectations in every way on this first run."

I understand all the new GE's are now here. They sure look great. Here is a bit of stuff concerning the locomotives that have been replaced. SD-70's 140 and 142 I believe are running on CSX while 141 is still under repair at New Symrna Beach. As for the 700's (SD-40-2's) all are in New Symrna Beach stored pending lease out probably to CSX except for 711 and 715 which will remain in FEC service probably mostly on the Port Job out of Hialeah. They might hold on to one more SD-40-2. The other SD-70's (100-107) are in New Symrna Beach their days of operation on the FEC are over with. The Florida East Coast is now a GE railroad. So far most of what I have been hearing is positive about the new units. I believe tonight is their first trip on the unit (rock) train and they will get a good test on that job.

That's great news for the FEC.....looking forward to seeing photos of the new power as they
start to surface on the net.

Good to see you posting again, Noel. I hope you and your family had a nice Christmas and hopefully
you're feeling better each day.
