That wasn't an extra. The Y101 went over light power to Fresh Pond and made 1 return trip with cars.
Technically, yes. Though in my head anything more than the normal round trip is 'extra'... Not quite sure how else to describe it since it's not quite the normal run.

I'm assuming when they go over to FP light, it's because the hudson line train ran late?

Y101 Fresh Pond bound with roughly 60 cars.

Dogbert: sometimes it's due to the inbound getting in late other times it can be anything from late call out to engine issues. CSX needs to depart Fresh Pond by 7 am because of the trash problem with the school.

Around 12:45. It had two sd60s.

Friday's P&W run left around 630pm and had a b-39/2 SD40-2s & SD60 combo. Hauled off a few LIRR ballast empties along with the usual cars...

CSX made the usual run this morning, P&W left around 6pm with the same power as last week (only with the sd60 leading now).

Local with 30-35 cars south at Morris Heights this afternoon 2 GP38's box cars, trash cars, propane tanks and caboose at about 4:30 pm. Is this normal or something out of the ordinary, or has to do with repairs at Croton Yard.

Sounds like a southbound road train was parked in Croton. The B749 and the B750 are now based out of Oak Point.

Those were left a couple days ago. It seems like surplus is left in Croton as to not congest Oak Point. B749 came this morning. Left about 3:10PM

Oak Point has more than enough room...

I rode by Oak Point around 6:15 today...looks pretty crowded. The warehouses there are using many more box cars than they used to. Hunts Point appears to be taking a seasonally higher number of refrigerator cars. The new recycler is shipping cars. Plenty of trash is getting shipped. And the transfer runs from long island consume the longest tracks.

Some construction is starting near the trash transfer station in the Bronx near the triboro bridge [I won't use the 'new' name]. A large area has been fenced off, and some of the concrete pads have been demolished. Is this the beginning of the rail-served Fresh Direct warehouse?

CSX heading towards FP right now. 2 SD40-2s and a long train of mixed freight. In the middle of the train there were 3 or 4 cars of gray cubes just like the green ones WM gets down in Bushwick. Not sure where those gray cubes are going. I didn't hear them go by this morning, so I'm assuming this is a very late running 101.
