Rail shippers will not be able to send domestic containers to Detroit as of Sept. 1. Nearly a year after eliminating 327 origin and destination pairs, CSX Transportation will be ending all domestic intermodal involving Detroit.

Maybe 5-6 years ago, the Detroit ramp appeared to be reasonably busy, judging from the numbers I saw while working at CSX Intermodal Springfield. One has to wonder what large shippers/dray companies have left town, shut down, or gone over to NS.
