a guy that i work with sent me this pic. i guess they were working in detroit at mack yard and sum1 came n there and lit the caboose on fire while train crews were in the yard. the nerve of sum ppl/

This could have been the stove/heater. They did this once in a while if
nobody was there to watch them.

Let's see what would probably happen to those claims---

"There are visible window openings on the side of the car. Denied."

"There is obviously plenty of illumination (from a source other than electricity) in the car. Denied."

Looks like "Fun With Fusees" by the local urchins. Or possibly that good old Vapor Caban heater-- "Is the damn oil flowin' or what? Can't see in the bottom of the stove, let 'er flow for a while and we'll come back and drop a fusee in and see if she lights then...."

Always make sure you have marshmallows and long sticks in your grip!! Be prepared!!
