I have plenty of pics of Conrail MOW Equipment and numbers what info are you looking for?

Conrail Back Hoes were numbered in the EF5700 Series this accounts for mostley Backhoes made by FORD which seems to be what they have the most of On occation the odd ball Case Back Hoe shows up. They do lease John Deere, Caterpiller, and Case equipment as well.

Overseer & Nova55,

Do you have the numbers and/or photos of the 1992/3 GMC Hi-rail flatbed trucks, with storage bins down both sides, specifically the first one, which was the oddball of the fleet?

The easiest way to tell this unit from the rest is that the front wheel-wells are 1/3 of the way into the hood, and the cab is not as deep as the rest. Another noticeable difference was that the center cab roof lights on the front were all in one long strip, where as the others were 3 separate lights. Also the front hi-rails were completely under the truck and the bumper was mounted in the factory location.

See the Conrail Encyclopedia photo below for the later version. http://crcyc.railfan.net/mow/vehicles/enolatrucks.jpg

If you want, feel free to contact me off list: rcizik at earthlink dot net.

Thanks,

Rich Cizik

Hay Guys I found a Photo of a CONRAIL CASE Back Hoe in my collection there numbering is in the EF5800 series FORDS are in EF5700 Series. That just leaves Caterpiller and John Deere to go if Conrail ever had any.

CRIJ

I have seen these 1/ 25 Delivery Van/Trucks around on Conrail befor but only as a Full Van. I'm sorry to say that I have not yet been able to snap a photo of eather of the two Styles. I don't have any numbers for eather style eather. I have been working on a List of Conrail MOW Lettering meanings and will post them soon
