Yes, on occasion, as an engineer and road foreman back in my Conrail days (it's been quite a while).

Nice? Well... Fun to operate? Yes. Classy? Yes, definitely. It's a classic design that has not been equalled since the last E9A was built (my opinion).

Ok, How many other E8's were painted in the Conrail Blue? Also howmany other E8's did CR own? A few Pics....

This says its CR but its in NJT Colors....

This is an E8 in CR blue... I have never heard of this road number mentioned...

The pic was taken in 1979 before NJT was created. The colors are actually NJDOT.
