Old Conrail Plow Truck

Post by cr9617 »

While going through some of my old prints, I found a couple of pictures of an old plow truck taken in Selkirk in 1998. Does anyone know the story behind this truck? Or the make and model? Obviously predates Conrail.

Just a guess, but I'm wondering if that's what they used to plow the intermodal terminal.

Looks like a retired NY Thruway snow blower truck,that CR picked up at a NY State surplus equipment auction.

It's a 1941-47 Ford. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1941_Ford" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
