Anyone know if this unit, 3005, is still in this paint scheme? It's an ex-E&VRailfreight engine but does anone know where it is now? Does anyone also know of other odd CP rail paint schemes like this?

Does anyone know of other CP schemes on locomotives which were from other railways??? Or if this locomotive is still in this scheme or was repainted/rebuilt?

http://rrpicturearchives.net/showPictur ... id=4687465 Shows it as repainted in April of 2017.

This isn't a CP "scheme", they simply painted their company decals over their own rebranded scheme for the E&N, instead of doing a patch job. This is a common practice on plenty of RR's who are in no hurry to rush to the paint booth. Nowadays it's as simple as leasing a locomotive and not having to patch anything as the host operator. In this instance, they probably retained the unit when they sold off the E&N, and wanted their name back on it without painting the whole thing.

Ok. Thank you. Anyone know if there are any ex-E&N units still out there in a similar painterests scheme to the one shown earlier?

It appears 3004 was the only other unit painted in such a scheme, and that locomotive has also been repainted back into CP colors since at least 2007.
