Hello all,
I don't if this belongs on RR.net but I stumbled upon an airline ticket that said CP Air on it and the logo was identical to the one used by CP Rail in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Was CP Air at all affiliated with the railroad? Thanks.

Canadian Pacific Air Lines was started by Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1940's. It was renamed CP Air around the same time the railway name was changed to CP Rail. Canadian Pacific sold the airline sometime in the 1980's. There was some integration of passenger services between the railway and airline (and moreso CP Ships) but each division was managed separately.

Canadian Pacific was known as the “World’s Most Complete Transportation System” with Trains, Planes, Ships, Hotels, Communications, Trucks etc. You could cross Canada or reach five continents on a CP Ticket.

The upper deck lounge on this CP '747 that's just arrived in Halifax from Amsterdam was outfitted to resemble an old style railway parlour car.
