I recall this one and sister 993 were later sent to and spent their last days in Newfoundland.

The G-12s were originally purchased by the London & Port Stanley Railway to convert from electrification. There were two, L4 & L5, built in 1955 & 1957 on the LPS. CN bought the line and eventually transferred the relatively light G-12s to Vancouver Island but ultimately the units went to Newfoundland as parts units to the G-8s there. They were scrapped there.
