CN's had another derailment. This time on the former NTR mainline to Moncton and Halifax near Grand Falls, New Brunswick along the US/CAN border.

Several trains are being rerouted to the Mont Joli and Newcastle Subdivisions between Riviere du Loup, Quebec and Moncton, New Brunswick. This is a former CN line that was sold to shortlines Chemin de fer de la Matapedia et du Golfe and the New Brunswick East Coast Railway in the ‘90s. (This is also the route VIA uses so it has not been affected by the derailment)

A video of a meet between CFMG 403 and CN 308 near Rimouski, Quebec has already made it onto YouTube:

Thanks for the links. It made me think back that in years past, whenever there was a derailment, we didn't have as many fires/evacuations/explosions/spills.

It would seem that most of the hazmats have been moved off the highway and onto the rails?
