I live a few miles south of CNIC's Freeport sub, as it passes through Carol Stream IL. Traffic on this line seems light to moderate, but every train I've seen is heading eastbound. Perhaps it's just a coincidence, but does anyone know if CNIC runs any regular westbound freights along this line?

There are currently 2 westbound road jobs M331 runs at night and M337 normally found at bridgeport between 1201 pm and 3 pm

M331 doesn't run west on the Freeport sub, with the exception of getting from 16th St. to Bridgeport where it gets on the Joliet sub for it's journey to Glenn yard and eventually the Harbor to get to the WC.

M337 on the other hand usually departs Hawthorne yard for points west around 4-6pm. Of course the time can vary greatly depending how much work they've got at Hawthorne and how bad they get dinged getting accross the terminal.
