Well that stinks looks like it is bound to the scrapper

:( On the subject of locomotives heading to the scrapper, it looks like the 6129, an SD40-2, is also headed that route. I shot this locomotive at its prime, pulling grain trains, back in November and just 5 months later, it met its doom. It must have suffered engine failure or something, cuz as JG said, poor maintenance has taken its toll. IC 6129 nee BN 6738 3/76-3/05 (only 29!) :(

*Correction: It turns out the 6129 is NOT being scrapped nor retired, it was in Centralia being overhauled (possibly being rebuilt to SD40-3 specs maybe?), although she has lost her "Deathstar" paint scheme and repainted into the current CN paint scheme, which explains it missing numerous parts and sitting on freight car trucks. :-D

Wow. That photo is sad. :( That used to be a sharp looking Illinois Central. Now it looks like a destroyed piece of metal.
