The "beep", even if it was still running, would hardly count as a real Baldwin..
the only Baldwin parts remaining are the frame and the cab..
the engine, trucks and long-hood are EMD..

one VO-660
six VO-1000 (one at a museum)
one DS-4-4-750
five DS-4-4-1000
seven S-12
one AS-616
one RS-12 (I don't think this one is regularly working)
And in South America
possibly another AS-616 in Brazil
two RF615E (export Sharks) in Argentina - one preserved, the other a shop switcher?

That's good to hear. Am I to assume that SMS is still or currently has a few of these dinosaur diesels on their property in use?
