Why are some thinking the BNSF & NS are going to merge? Both comapinies seem financially stable and are quite prosperous.

Yep, that picture definitely confirms it. Other mergers I have recently "seen",CSXT & BNSF & NS & UP, MRL & BNSF, CSXT and BNSF, NS and CSXT, NYS&W and CSXT, SWRR and BNSF, and on and on.............
Every car in your state, with "out of state plates" moving into your state, as well..................

More BNSF/NS Merger speculation?

I'm putting the lock on this one (not going to delete it, but there will be no further discussion of it here). I am going to put a "sticky" thread at the top of the forum, so discuss any speculation there. Any subsequent new threads (or even old threads) that are of a similar nature will also be locked (please refer to the rule regarding redundant threads).

Not that I'm against wild speculation (I love a good conspiracy theory), I'm against redundant threads, and this one is the second or third that has mentioned a BNSF and NS merger.
