Saw something on another site about the Richmond intermodal facility closing in September. Can this be true? If so, does anyone have any details? Thanks......

Yes, its "closing". But they are not closing the tracks, just the contents of what is being shipped. In other words, they are closing the intermodal shipments from that ramp and are changing it to loading more cars onto auto-racks on those tracks instead. Intermodal traffic there will be diverted to Stockton am told.
