Can anyone tell me about the Track maintainance position? Is this a job that would hold me away from home quite a bit? They always say to be prepared to stay on the job for days or weeks at a time. Is this a scare tactic or is this the truth. I think I would like the work but, I am not willing to sacrifice my family for it. Why have they been hiring so many track workers here lately? Is there that much of a need or are they going to get a bunch of work done and then lay everyone off?
