(E) - 48% - 17"

KANSAS CITY CORRIDOR
(W) - 49% - 42"
(E) - 39% - 30"

Only 92% of the full complement of trains was reviewed this period due to annulments caused by flooding, programmed trackwork, and other operational incidents on the routes of the City of New Orleans, Boston section of the Lake Shore Limited, and the KCY Corridor.

The only services to show improvement in both measured categories were the eastbound Cardinal and both directions of the Crescent.

Of the 95 trains that were more than 2' late: the Crescent accounted for 21, the Lake Shore Limited for 15, and the Capitol Limited for 6.

Of the total delay minutes in this period: the STL Corridor accounted for 22%, the DET Corridor for 16%, the BUF Corridor and the Crescent for 14% each, and the Lake Shore Limited for 12%.

Clearly, no relief from this dismal level of performance is within sight.

Wall Street Journal Sports columnist Jason Gay just "Had to get in the snipe":

Fair Use:
The USWNT fans were everywhere this past weekend in Paris; They were everywhere on the 45-minute train to Reims (fast, on-time trains—how odd for the Amtrak veterans among us!).
Otherwise, I enjoy his writing, but irrelevant to this topic and site.

I seem to recall somewhere that SBB's management is getting chewed out because on time performance has fallen almost to below 90%. Switzerland uses a +-3 minutes tolerance on everything.

Admittingly, my last Corrail was 'Retard 15 min', but it was pulled by a Sybic...

(We arrived in Paris 'only' 10 down. I got my RER to Gare Du Nord and my Eurostar with enough time to spare.)

An arrival window of an hour would be comparable to driving Philly to Chicago. I am curious where the bottlenecks are between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg.
