Does anyone know of any existing NS TSAs or have they been all replaced? They were originally installed by the N&W in the 80s and most of them were replaced by newer SADs (stand alone detector) in the 2000s. I would think that there might be a couple on some of the lower density lines, but I could be wrong.

What specifically is the difference?

I know some early ones reported to the DS? Others announced on the radio. Give me a few details as I live on NS.
