Looking for stock antenna replacement

I have a BCD396XT scanner and am looking for a newer antenna to replace the stock rubber ducky and was wondering what type of antennas other people out there use and have good luck with.

RadioShack, fer under $20 has a colapsable antenna, adjust it to 17". There is no "better" antenna..., all rubber duckys have a coil inside and exist only because they are small. Smail for an antenna is bad. You cannot beat a 17" conductor made out of any conductor, even a copper plated or wet noodle will work better than a short rubber ducky.. 'Sain't no silver bullet, tho the antenna manuf will sell you anything you are ignorant enuff to pay money for.. Better among antennas is also so small as to be insignificant.... elsie kay
