I am looking to buy a scanner to put in my truck. I would like one to have the following features:

-Metro 800 Mhz
-have at least 500-1000 channels
-trunk tracking
-Alphanumeric display

any suggestions?

also, where do you guys buy your scanner equipment from?

You can't really go wrong with Uniden.
Also check out Ebay

You can get great deals.
The scanners to look out for(That i think are worth your money)
The BC898T(the one in the first link)
The BCT8(isn't has much as the BC898T,but also has Trunktracker)
The BC3250C(doesn't have Trunktracking,but it's a all around good scanner for the money)

Well I don't knwo much about scanners,but I'm reading and learning more and more as we speak,I hope i did some help for you.
