Snow Plowing???

Post by b&m 1566 » Sat Jan 05, 2008 6:27 pm

I don't know where this was or when it took place but I have never seen this much snow in my entire life. The snow was so deep it was almost the same height as the engines. Needless to say with 3 engines this "plow extra was no match for nature’s fury"

I have seen this and the five or so other parts that go along with it. The perils of winter railroading.

I type in Brown because I can.

Great clip. One of my all-time favorites on YouTube.

there's like 5 videos of the initial stuck and attempts to get out. then there were about 4 or 5 more over the snow removal with heavy equipment and several more attempts to get the train unstuck with more engines.

The video caption wrote:Took a total of 6 units to get unstuck. This was between Genoa & Limon Co. on the Kyle Railroad.

The site has a lot of interesting photos and videos mainly of rough winter railroading. Some of the photos are really impressive.
Trains aren't dangerous, it's lack of common sense that's dangerous.
