When did the West Chester get a C-420? Ex who? What's it painted?

The West Chester unit is #315, ex-KB&S 315. It was in solid grey paint last photo I saw.

Now my question, I recently found a roster of IL shortlines and there was mention of #1330 lettered MALX (would be ex-L&N) Can anyone else confirm and supply more details? Thanks!

The West Chester C420 did not come from the KB&S.
The KB&S unit has crankshaft problems and still sits in the deadline in IL. This unit as well as all the RS-11's are for sale.
The West Chester received a Indiana Box Car C420. I forgot the number.

The West Chester C420 is # 315. Most likley a former L&N unit. I am still trying to sort this out. The KB&S # 315 is x-L&N # 1310.

Alcoman-I made this mistake before and didn't change my roster!
I think? the West Chester unit may be ex-L&N 1315, the #boards look that way in the photos I saw. I can send you the photo if you wish.

Alcoman- I have this on my computer, but didn't change my printed roster:
L&N #1315- to Chrome Crankshaft, to IHRC, to W&O 315 to CNUR,
to West Chester RR.

Well to answer your question...
The MALX unit you are referring to is former Monon 513, ex L&N 1330, ex CGRX 1330. MALX (Mid-America Locomotive) recently sold the loco to Prairie Central Co-op of Pontiac, IL. I don't have dates for the sale of the unit.[/i]

How many are servicable? Are there any others that may exist but are out of service? What is the final disposition of the 4 LV units not listed? It is good to see that large a group of one model still around, speaks well of a good solid design.

just one correction..
LV408/D&H 408 was never renumbured 418 by Guilford..
she always remained 408.

and here is the disposition of the 4 LV C-420's not on the list..
