Sorry for the delay all, I just found the post! I found the rosters from the old RR.net forum, so keep in mind these need to be updated! The only other model roster besides the C420, C424, and C425 was the RS-11, if anyone is interested, let me know. I believe Morton Station Agent contributed these, Chris or John might know for sure.

When John Mech visited the A&M, he reported that:

A&M C424 #4222 and #4242 are being parted out.

C424 #605 is being stored for VILX. Ed Bowers, right?

That's correct Chris....Keep in mind that this could change. I will try to get an update from my contacts down there.

Just curious, Mexico's railways (mostly N de M) received 56 M424s from MLW around '75 or '76.
Nacionales de Mexico received 52 of this order. Units 9500 - 9551. Were these standard or "wide cab" units? Do any still exist? Could anyone post a picture?
Sorry if this is off-topic.

Thank you, Trainspot. That's a good looking locomotive. Are there any left?

Speaking of C424's. I beleive NBEC 4214 is the only operating C424 in Canada, and could end up being the last.

DL has a new C424:

Is this a new engine for the DL?

At the bottom of the page...

I think it's this engine from the list above:

Wabash C-424 905 Southern Appalachian Railway Museum 425 Knoxville TN N&W 3905, N&W 424, Surface Transportation Int'l 425, Assoc. Elec. Co-op 425, Ed Bowers M S 03/64 3372-06

Hi Chris
That was sad to hear about the ex GBW 321 last year. I had a cab ride on her back in '85, cool ride from GB to New London. The 2 C-636 demos were scrapped at the same time in Cohocton. Acceptable if it helps to keep others living longer, but would have been nice to have kept one of the demos.
Cheers

No, its not on the list. But it was built by MLW, and that list contains no Canadian built C424's at all.
