Here is my tally taken from my list of surviving ALCO road units ,
which I will be posting within the next few weeks. I count about 44
RS-11's (some are parts units).

The data below includes, from left to right, original owner, model,
original #, current owner, current #, current location, previous
owners/#s, facility type, status of unit, notes, dat built, build #.
Hopefully this will be readable when I post it. Please note that some
information is unverified. I would appreciate any additions or
corrections to this list so I can include them in my upcoming overall
list.

Update on this unit:

DW&P RS-11 3603 then CV 3603 then Depew, Lancaster, & Western 3603 > used as parts unit stored outside Lancaster, NY enginehouse S Dofasco B trucks 08/56 81937

It is no longer outside the Lancaster enginehouse..
it was moved (1-2 years ago) and is now parked inside the Gould coupler industrial park in Depew.
it is not accessable from inside the industrial park (private property)
but it is visable from the end of Erie Place, a small dead-end street off Gould Ave.
the unit is a derelict shell, and has been mostly stripped of usable parts.

RS-11 #7210 was tied down in the Washington, NJ yard yesterday and as of this afternoon it was still there. It looks to be in far too good a condition to be headed for the scrapper. Anyone know where its headed?

What ever did happen to the 367, unit #82958? It says R, idk what that means. I have some great memories of that engine, I hope it didn't get scrapped. If it's for sale, I'll buy it lol

RS-11 # 367 is in safe hands. It was purchased last year by a broker who plans to use it at some point for a short line venture.

Shouldn't the The Ontario Midland Railroad ALCO's be included for surviving units ?

^Ontario Midland has an RS11 and an RS36. Both are on the surviving lists.

Found this thread in a google search. The loco above, Maine Coast #367, is for sale on railswap. Seller claims it will be scrapped if no buyer.

Gosh, I wish some Alco-friendly railroad would buy that locomotive. It served Maine Coast very well and it's been unpleasant to hear reports of it rotting away these past few years.
