well a 100 tons of scrap steel is worth $40k so if you part out the Diesel generator and switchgear and trucks than the $50K is not to much of a price

It might be a tad on the high side, but not terribly high. As Dutch says, scrap price alone would eat up a good part of it. It is ready to "run". A lot would also depend on the condition of the wheels.
