Who can tell me which DL-535E's are currently on the roster of this railroad. I know a third one was wrecked, but what number was it?

Hi,

I found two references that 113 was the one that's wrecked. The rest of one of the links gives the rest of the story:

Post by hobo (edited): "Just before they shut down the ore side of things from up in the Anvil Range ,they order 4 units from Bombardier x(MLR)In 1982 & they sat there in Montreal ,till U.S. Gypsum bought #112&113 and ship them two Plaster City Ca.where they total wreaked #113 beyond repair, they went back up north & bought #111. When WP&Y started up again they picked up #114 They are DL535E (RSD35) C-C trucks.USG never repainded them they where still in WP&Y colors in the desert in 1993."

While they have not been repainted they have been relettered.

Hope this helps,

Thanks.. That's what I was looking for. They(Plaster) only have 2 units. I wonder if the 114 will be repaired? That looks quite bad.

When I go to Campo to work on the PSRM's Alcos, I am not really too far away from USG. I may try to get in there and have a look and maybe some photos.

#114 is back at Skagway and it looks great! Someone on another site mentioned that the dynamic brakes on the #114 were not working prior to the crash, can someone comment about that?

I had heard that too. Seems it would go to full dynamic no matter what setting the controller was in, and they never found out what the problem was. Would be nice if they have taken care of that minor detail
