I took this trip with the family. Mr and Mrs Clause were available for comment and pictures. We chose first class for greater face time with the Clauses and for the table and chair set up. The round trip took about an hour. Hot cocoa, a chocolate chip cookie and a Jingle Bell presented by Santa come with the price of the ticket. Additional items were available for purchase, including soft pretzels and alcohol. A banjo plucking elf lead the car in Christmas carols for the vast majority of the ride.

The on board crew consisted of 20 something men and women who were engaging and pleasant. The engine crew brought meaning to the terms "hog head," and "fireman," as they operated a steam engine to the designated location. They cut off, and ran around the train while the children in the car watched the hitch.

I'd do it again on another special holiday (Easter, Halloween) but would most likely opt for coach on a weekday. The bench seating looked quite comfortable. For those interested, you can ride shotgun with the engine crew for a fee.
