Amazon now carries anyone's freight to anyone's destination, i.e., Amazon will carry container load and truck load freight between origins and destinations where neither is an Amazon fulfillment center.

Certainly another indication of the warming competitive climate within New England's intermodal marketplace.

Amazon will market its contianers on backhaul moves-- this heading into Ayer is likely a load of Amazon merch. This would make sense given the North Andover, MA RDC just opened. Also a single container a train indicates to me potential trial shipments... let's see how it stacks up.

What siding, lol? There's nothing but a long since disconnected stub that ends well before the fence surrounding the delivery lanes coming into and out of the place...

Railfans in Voorheesville report the new CSX signals are now in operation.

Separately, this report on the Albany Division sightings page:
A fellow railfan relayed an update on the NS line eta for service. As per csx signal workers, NS has some unexpected extensive work closer to Delanson that will take the remainder of the year.
Any confirmation out there? If true, what would this “unexpected extensive work” entail for a portion of the line already in use?

Recent videos from VO suggest all the work is finished on the connector

No idea what issues ns might have to the west
