The Middletown and New Jersey Railway Historical Society is pleased to announce that Volume 20 Numbers 1 - 4 of their official publication, The Unionville Flyer, is now available on CD in color. This includes the issues of Spring 2014 through Winter 2015.

This first CD production covers not only the M&NJ and predecessor, Middletown and Unionville, but also features the O&W wreck at Rock Tavern on Aug 10, 1946; the opening of NYS&W’s main line to the anthracite region; Erie’s “paper” railroads of Suffern and Goshen; Erie’s Middletown yard; M&NJ/EL correspondence regarding a snowplow and the M&U’s “Erie bridge”. Other major articles include the Middletown and Unionville RR from the November 1947 issue of Model Builder Magazine, a 1955 newspaper article entitled “Fourteen-Mile M&NJ Line is Most Unusual Railroad in all of the East” and “Minisink and Wawayanda: Examples of Sixty Years of Agricultural Heritage 1862-1921”. In addition each issue contains a variety of shorter articles as well as information on current-day railroad happenings in Orange County. This is a total of 96 pages of railroad history and news in 4 issues, at 24 pages per issue.
