The first of the year there has been tie replacment, about every third tie has been replaced along a strech of track through Baker and Zachary cities. no bridge work yet that i can see. There is a roomer that there will be a dinner train might be in the works . I seriously doubt.at least not on the 1.2 miles of track. The rails were torn up past Ethel going to Mississippi by CN before the sale.
Watco SW 1500 suffered a main generator failure a loud bang with a lot of sparks had to be towed off the RR Xing.
Watco has added another SW1500 to help with the increase in activity on the line. Also there is possible rebuilding of the line to double track for a commuter line.
