The other night, I observed an eastbound manifest train on the Chicago line with a Ferromex unit behind 2 NS D'9s. I was just kinda interested if anyone else saw it, had a symbol, or has seen equipment from this Mexican railroad in Ohio. Do they have relations with the KCS perhaps?
Here is their website for those who are bilingual.

I saw a FM unit headed west on Thursday June 17 unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me. It was an EMD unit but I didn't see what model it was but if this wasn't the same one you saw then maybe there's a chance there's more of them in the area. I don't think FERROMEX is the Mexician rail line that's working with KCS. :)

Now that you mention it, I did see that locomotive a few days ago when it was still in the chicago area, on a train leaving the ColeHour yard on the ex prr-nyc line. Wish I knew what the reason was for it being up here as it does seem kind of new looking, perhaps repairs?

Interestingly enough, 3 KCS units led a westbound past Nasby today around 4PM.

Anyone get the symbol?
